Protected Life Insurance

protected insurance get a quoteProtected are primarily a life insurance company. By logging onto their website you can search at least twelve different providers and amongst those over 200 different life insurance places. These include house hold names such as LV, Scottish Widow and Aviva. You can usually ever set to pay on a decreasing term basis (With is set to protect your repayment mortgage with the amount of cover reducing over time) or a level term insurance (which upon death pays a fixed lump sum). The costs of the plans do vary of course and depend on a number of factors and features such as terminal illness cover.

Protected are covered bye the FSA as an insurance mediation company. This means that the company (which is a trading name of Netbasic Ltd.) can offer insurance without any specific recommendation or advice. Based in Hampshire the company is actually an online marketing website specializing in financial services. This means that they can take information from you and using that show you suitable insurance companies and policies. It doesn’t get involved in the set up of these policies or the selling/marketing of them.

They actually have four companies under their umbrella which deal with life insurance. These are Cover Matters, Freedom to Insure and Reassured all based I Hampshire and London based Top Branch.

The company Netbasic has a total of three websites offering different financial services.

Firstly they have The Life Search Engine site (www.protected.co.uk) which has been up and running since August 2005 and get an estimated 40,000 visitors each month. They also have The Loan Search Engine website (www.accepted.co.uk) which is their longest running site. It’s been running since August 2004 and gets visited by around 50,000 people each month. Their newest site was started in February 2006. The Debt Search Engine site (www.trapped.co.uk) gets around 40,000 visitors each month).

The company itself seems to concentrating on what it knows best, the marketing side of things and leaves your policies, the signing up of them etc to the insurance company. As long as you should around on their website you should be able to find a policy at an acceptable price and the background work to bring you this policy wont matter. Any of their comparison websites search a number of different companies so you shouldn’t struggle to find a product to suit you at a cost you can afford.

However you could be forgiven for thinking that although their strength is said to be in marketing they have made a cardinal mistake. If you go to protected.com rather than their protected.co.uk website, you are taken to a different company completely. This is one of the major sins in internet marketing and probably hasn’t done their over all marketing campaign much good at all.
